God's mandate is that we train our young people in the paths of righteousness. Therefore, we the Church of God in Christ, Southern Region International Youth Department shall continue to rise to the occasion. The COGIC GIRL’s ROCK (Young Women of Excellence) explores areas that stimulate changes in the spiritual and natural lives of young women. Each young lady will have opportunities to grow in the areas of self-discipline, self-assurance, leadership and most of all, as a complete woman is ready to be used for the Master's will. At the end of this experience, each young lady will have the confidence to take her family, church, school, community and city to heights unknown.

 

 

Objectives of the COGIC GIRLs ROCK (Young Women of Excellence) Program are:

"That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;” Philippians 1:10

• To enhance the overall quality of life of the participants both naturally and spiritually, this curriculum will procure activities which prepare young ladies for college, the transition from home to college and the transit from college to the work arena

• To provide instructional sessions that will enrich spiritual growth, promote academic excellence, expand personal development and enhance money management skills.

• To offer the steps for soul winning with-Scripture references.

• To prepare to academically function in any arena with assurance and confidence.

• To celebrate and appreciate the diversity of all young ladies.

• To prepare young ladies to effectively compete in the world of Corporate America.

•  To furnish enrichment tips for personal well-being (e.g.  physical make-over, self-esteem classes, etc.).

• To increase each young woman's level of awareness regarding stewardship, professionalism, and etiquette.

• To develop a spirit of excellence about all things at all times
